Embedded Software Engineer  C/C++ C# - Central Manchester / Hybrid

Are you a talented C# Software Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer but feel frustrated that your current role just isn't challenging enough, or maybe you feel that you are being under-utilised or simply not appreciated for your efforts ?

As a Software Engineer you will work on the development of Application Software for Medical Instruments and Product Devices Design, Embedded Software Design, root cause and code development. This is an interesting and varied role for a Software Engineer where you can make a major difference to Global Health for this central Manchester based Ethical Employer.

In accordance with ISO13485 and standard applicable software development methodology and release processes, the Software Engineer will provide the following functions:

- Development of PC, Android, and Embedded Software Applications

- Prepare Project Reports and be responsible for managing all software projects through

both the design and change control procedures

- Act as technical support on company's software verification and validation activities

- Support functional level testing and validation of the Product's platform.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required for the Software Engineer include :

• Development of object-oriented PC application software using C#

• User interface design and implementation

• Ability to develop highly maintainable, Standards compliant software

• Embedded Software Development experience using C on ARM based platform or similar

• Project management from concept to validation and rollout.

It would be desirable if the Software Engineer has the following Knowledge :

- Familiarity with Agile Software development methodology

- Experience of developing software to IEC 62304 or a similar standard

- Appreciation of clean code, unit testing, TDD, BDD

- The ability to test and debug code on a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)

- Android application development, ideally using Kotlin.
