Embedded Software Engineer C/C++ C# - Manchester / Hybrid

Are you a talented C# Software Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer but feel frustrated that your current role just isn't challenging enough, or maybe you feel that you are being under-utilised or simply not appreciated for your efforts ?

As a Software Engineer you will work on the development of Application Software for Medical Instruments, Product Devices Design, Embedded Software Design, root cause and code development. This is an interesting and varied role for a Software Engineer where you can make a major difference to Global Health for this central Manchester based Ethical Employer.

In accordance with ISO13485 and standard applicable software development methodology and release processes, the Software Engineer will provide the following functions :

Be a key contributor on Embedded and off-board software development, verification and validation activities following ISO62304 within an ISO13485 diagnostic medical device product environment. You will develop future generation products, help in code-level software legacy review, rationalisation, optimisation and provide investigation and root-cause analysis for software-related technical issues :

• Assist in developing PC application software from concept stage for embedded platforms

• Prepare Verification Protocols

• Support PC software development using C#, C++, Java, QT / QML

• Support embedded software development using C on the ARM based instrument platform

• Support functional level testing and validation of the instrument platform

• Good understanding of Python would be desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required for the Software Engineer include :

• Graduate in relevant software engineering discipline

• At least 3 years post-graduate embedded software development experience

• Experience gained in a regulated environment or safety critical environment

• Use of C / C++ C#

• Experience of Jira, Agile development & source code control (eg. Bit-bucket)

• TDD / automation, unit testing and s/w verification.

It would be desirable if the Software Engineer has the following exposure :

• Experience gained in medical device embedded s/w development (ISO13485)

• Working experience of IOS62304

• Experience of Real time OS design.
