Project Manager / Project Coordinator - Near Durham

This well established, highly successful, award winning organisation, are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Project Coordinator to plan and coordinate projects for Software & Electronic Control Systems and take them through to fruition on time and cost. As a Project Manager you will manage high efficiency Electronic Sensing projects from concept through to Production. The Project Manager will oversee the end to end implementation of engineering and / or multi discipline projects.
The ideal qualifications, skills and experience for the Project Manager include :
• Engineering Degree, ideally Electronics, Physics or Computing
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Project Manager ideally in electronic manufacturing or a comparable environment, though your transferable skills will count
• PC literate, knowledge of project management and quality assurance tools, Six Sigma, MS Project, Visio, PRINCE2 etc
• Experience operating within a structured management process
• Contribute to continuous improvement process by applying basic knowledge in Six Sigma
• Previous experience of working in a Product Development environment would be an advantage
• success managing end-to-end projects, and delivering on time and on budget
• knowledge of both waterfall and agile project management techniques
The Project Manager Responsibilities include :
• Creation and management of the projects within an Agile framework
• Ensuring the project scope is well defined and understood
• Organising the resources required to deliver the project
• Effectively managing any sub-contractors required for the project
• Overseeing the accounting monitoring and control of the project
• Working in conjunction with other Engineers, build the delivery schedule taking into account the resource and capacity of the department
• Contribute to development considerations with the use of emerging technologies
• Evaluation of projects against benchmark and sharing of lessons learnt and best practice.
