Test Technician / Test Engineer - Barnsley / Hybrid

This award winning and highly successful medium-sized company which designs and manufactures innovative RF, Networking, and Image Processing diagnostic equipment for the Automotive Industry are seeking an experienced Test Technician / Test Engineer / Software Tester.

We are looking for an experienced Test Technician / Test Engineer to join a multicultural, agile, development team working within the Test Department. You will be working on a range of innovative products developed for the Automotive Service Industry which utilise RF and wired communications to interface with vehicles and deliver IoT capabilities.

The Knowledge / Experience Required for the Test Technician / Test Engineer includes:

• Experience writing test cases, test plans and defect reports

• Troubleshoot system issues with support, R&D and implementation teams, propose solutions

• A foreign language, ideally German

• Familiarity working with embedded hardware and electronics

• Some knowledge of coding in C, C# or Python would be beneficial

• The ability to be flexible and adapt to a responsive development environment.

The Main duties for the Test Technican / Test Engineer include:

• Testing of embedded tool software, desktop applications and SOAP API's

• Design and maintenance of test cases, creation of test automation programs and execution of test runs

• Supporting team members and the technical support team

• Helping to improve the testing process.
